If Microsoft Word autocorrects one more "shit" into "sit," or - far worse - one more "fuck," into "duck," I may need to imbibe a good deal more coffee.
Why would I need real words "autocorrected"?

Hah! I don't know which dictionary your autocorrecter is using, but mine reads "fuck" just fine.
"Duck you." Nerrys spat sand and blood onto the table. "I don't need your sit."
I don't see anything wrong with that sentence. Good quality desert-fantasy-saga, that is. :)

OpenOffice.org will solve your problem - no need for evil micro$oft anymore! and keep writing - just read Brutal Women (the book) this weekend and loved it!

You can turn off the autocorrecter in Word.Since I do molecular biology and have to type all sorts of non-words, like DNA sequences and names of enzymes (BssH II, Bgl II, Xba I, yadayadayada), I learned this early. I spell well enough, and I refuse to train the dam' program to recognize my stuff.
