What's Up With My Life

When plan A falls apart, plans B & C kick in.

The plan right now is to apply for the writing gig at the gaming company in Edmonton. If that doesn't pan out, I'm joining the Peace Corps.

If that doesn't work out, well, there's a reason I'm starting a savings account (finally). It'll be picking up and finding another city, likely Seattle, or seeing where Jenn is headed. If she gets a job somewhere that isn't, like, South Dakota, we'll see if we can room up again.

Here's to hoping for dialogue-writing in Edmonton.

I need a smaller city.

Plus the dialogue job will undoubtably be more fun than the cell phone industry.

Kam, without giving away plot information publically, I can suggest that I spent valuable company time yesterday trying to figure out how to make a sunken ship into an underwater dungeon, and which kind of demons and bad guys to populate it with, and what kind of cutscene I could use to blow it up at the end.

And that wasn't me slacking. That was me being on-task and everything.

Not a substitute for your personal writing, but a damn fun job by any definition.

And it sure as hell beats what I did yesterday:

I updated a database with numbers and made more plane ticket reservations to fly me to Indiana.

Whoop.

Believe me, I'm totally on board with sunken ships and demons and getting paid for it...

I have a lot of video game playing to do this weekend~!
