tDW is now out to my second round of readers.

I shall go collapse now.

God's War.

And, likely, some more outlining for Over Burning Cities, fantasy saga book 2, which is already in progress.

What do readers do at this point? I suspect it's a lot more than just saying good or not good-- do they help catch typoes, or what?

At every point, readers are looking for inconsistencies, pacing problems, whether or not they find characters and their motivations believable (and they often note who their favorite characters are, if any, which can be helpful), lack of tension, suspense, plot holes, etc.

Clearing up typos, at this point, should be the least of the things they're looking at - if I haven't caught the vast majority of those by this point, I'm in trouble.

However, something they will likely catch are characters whose names change halfway through, who may be described differently in different places, and places in the narrative where I repeat crucial bits of information.
