If you try and sell a Star Wars fanfic novel, you're doing so in violation of copyright law and George Lucas is going to have your ass for lunch.
Fucking idiot.

Hahahahhahahahhahaha! I couldn't stop laughing at this. Dude, I used to WORK with Lucasfilm, and while they may be forgiving of a lot of things (re the continued existence of the 501st Legion Costuming Club, 4000 guys who dress in stormtrooper costumes for fun, which Steve Sansweet from Lucasfilm once told me was a "walking, talking copyright infringement") but fan-fic sure ain't one of them.
You should have seen some of the really awful awful AWFUL Star Wars fan-fic we used to get at Del Rey. It was usually worth one public reading in someone's office, over bagels and coffee, but that's about it.
I've written many an NDA letter for Lucasfilm, with all the rtequisite clauses and heretofore and herewiths and believe me, you NEVER want to piss off the Lucas machine.
Lest you think that the Lucas machine is evil, it isn't They are one of the best collection of people I ever had the pleasure to work with. Good peeops, all of them. But VERY protective of their licensing!
