Interview

Damn, that place was swanky!

35th floor, downtown, conference room with the big view of the city, everybody in slacks and ties and the whole nine yards.

It seemed to go well. I certainly wouldn't mind working there. Though I definately won't be blogging *anything* about work if I end up there. I suspect there may be more people there with an interest in googling their officemates in their downtime...

What's the commute like? You don't need to be doing that 2-hours-daily crap.

re: commute

30 minutes, baby!

Which is why, even if they only pay me the same I'm making now, I'd likely take the offer anyway. I really don't want to be at this crappy job another year.

My commute right now is less than 5 minutes (small town). If I get my job that I am interviewing for next week, I'll have to start driving an hour back and forth until Sarah and I can sell our house and she can find work down there.

How do you handle commuting so much? I guess I'll have to get into audio books for the rest of the summer if I get the job.

Jeremy - generally, I read a lot on the train. I get a lot of books read that way. Also, I have an ipod.

Jenn does a 30 min commute, and she listens to a lot of books on tape.

When I was living in WA state, I often had commutes of 45-60 minutes, and drove them. I listened to the radio all the time, which meant I was at least current on the latest music... now I don't listen at all.
