Yuck

Worst. Protein bar. Ever.

Sweet god, that was bad. Uh. Cardboard. Yuck. I bought a whole fucking box of these yesterday, shit. I need to switch these out. Bah. Blech.

OK, OK, I'll go back to playing Antz or something. Wonder why corporate America turns people into zombies? Because they either 1) hire people to do boring, lifeless jobs 2) pay people to sit around waiting to do boring, lifeless jobs.

Just pulled a pricing sheet for the NYC project off the printer. Oh, please, put me on a plane! I'll go anywhere. Do anything. I'll pay 120K for Law School in order to flee from brain death.

As fine as it is for getting paid to do nothing, I have trouble writing at work (I need loud music, and my best writing time is 7pm-2am, so this is a fucking crap shoot, with all the distractions, though I keep opening shit up and staring at it), so all that "great" writing time is for shit, and here I am blogging about absolutely fucking nothing and throwing away a really, really shitty protein bar and going: yea. Money's good.

My brain will die a slow, painful death. It will not be pretty. It will involve bad protein bars.

Ack. Back to opening up story files.

I must know what the foul protein bar is -- so I can avoid it. I can not believe I am exchanging protein bar recs, but lately I'm loving those new Kashi crunch bars (but only the crunchy ones).

Love the blog!

I eat a lot of energy bars because I do a lot of backpacking, and my absolute all time favorites are made by Genisoy. 99 cents at Trader Joe's, and the chocolate mint kicks ass. it tastes like chocolate! and mint! and feels kind of chewy and crispy and delicious - basically a chocolate bar with a bunch of soy protein in it.. I liked the chocolate peanut butter too, but I've never had any of their other flavors.

I also like Clif bars, but only the non-chocolate ones. Carrot cake is my favorite, and I've heard that the seasonal flavors like pumpkin pie are really good.

I don't know if this works for you, but one thing I like doing for quick energy is keeping nuts and dried fruit around. You can split them up into individual serving bags to make them easier to carry around, too, and sometimes they're a lot cheaper because you can buy them in bulk.

Oh God... My job makes me feel like my brain is going to wither. THat is why I finally went back to school and am already actively networking within my chosen field. I can't wait until I can get started. I am sure there will be times I hate my job then, too, but at least there will be research and a faster pace. My brain needs it desperately.
