I was foolishly going to ask, "What's in Indiana?"

But I found the answer: Big Things.

Um, why don't you have a driver's license yet, missy? I thought everyone in the United States - except for New York City - had their license by the time they were 16 like I did. God, I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't drive when I travel.

The only saving grace about Indiana...or Michigan...or Illinois...or any of those in-between states, frankly, is that they are so much fun to drive in!!!

I'm licensed to drive - I can walk into WA state or Alaska and just tell them I lost my license somewhere, take the written, and go home happy.

But here, because states are stupid and their systems don't talk to each other, I have to re-take the driving exam *and* the written exam, and I'm too lazy to do that.

Also, I'd need to borrow Jenn's car. And coordinating our schedules is a bitch.

I keep thinking I'll just go back to WA state for Christmas and get my folks to take me to the local DMV and just give them my parents' address and get a damn lisence. It's proved to be really annoying not to have one.

Do you even need to take the written?

In WA or AK, no, probably not, just report it "lost."

::sigh:: I really gotta get on that.

P.S. In case anyone's curious, no I'm not dead, my blog's just broken.

I foolishly tried to switch to Blogger beta, and now I'm locked out of both accounts. I've already lodged a complaint with Blogger, but you know, it's a free service, so I don't expect anything to be resolved until next week...
